Preparing for Your Child’s Dental Visit
As eager as you might be to set up your child’s first appointment at Happy Teeth Southampton with Dr. Amar, you should make sure that you have a clear idea of what to expect. On this page, we discuss some of the things that we want parents to know before they arrive at our office. If there are any questions on your mind, don’t hesitate to call us; one of our team members will gladly assist you. We also ask that you please let us know right away if your child has any special needs that we should know about.
Your First Dental Visit
Once you’ve completed the necessary paperwork, we will take your child back to our treatment area and take a look at their smile. We’ll check their teeth, gums, and other oral structures to see if there are any problems developing. A cleaning may also be performed depending on how old your child is. We’ll take note of any problems found during your child’s visit and give you advice on how to help them take better care of their mouth at home, such as encouraging good oral hygiene habits and making sure that they eat plenty of smile-friendly foods.

To help speed up the check-in process on the day of your child’s appointment, please complete the new patient forms in advance. We will send you a link before your appointment—simply fill it out at your convenience so you won’t have to worry about it while in our waiting room.
